I've said it before and I'll say it again; I don't understand how people can get borde in the Ghost fandom.

It is a multi-shippers paradise, you can literally take any of the ghouls from any era and smash them together in any way you want! Also you can get as weird as you want, you know with the satanism and stuff, the ghouls antics on stage provide more than enough fodder. Literally I don't understand why people feel the need to invite drama where there need not be any. Use your imagination for something better! 😒

I think a lot of us, having grown up in the age of one-person webcomics created by a single person over the course of months to years and living in an ever-increasing world of skeleton crews, either do not know or have forgotten how much goes into making comics.

In a lot of the major publishing houses, such as DC and Marvel and Dark Horse and the likes, an issue could be created by one person, yes. Some people had the talent to do it all.

More commonly, teams of five used to make comics. Sometimes more.

Five people working simultaneous jobs to create an issue, each job an art in itself.

Those jobs could include:

writer

penciller/layout artist

inker

colorist

letterer (fonts and speech bubbles)

Occasionally an editor may be so involved that they become a sixth person. In addition each of these could be further split up, one person making rough thumbnails that another creates the sketches for that another inks, one person taking fonts and the other taking speech bubbles, etc.

There were people who made their ENTIRE careers just doing ONE of those jobs I listed. There were careers made out of making speech bubbles. Individual artists became famous for their ability to convey dialogue and information in speech bubbles, on top of being able to fit them into a good composition.

Because at their heart, each of those is itself an art. Even guttering, that is, the spacing between panels, becomes an art.

And this wasn't just during the age when comics were hand-drawn and physically painted, all of this carried over into the digital age as well, for a long time.

For you comickers out there, please don't ever beat yourself up for perhaps being weak in one area, or all areas, of comicking. You could be doing the work of a half-dozen people. Comicking is not a goddamn easy medium! One person doing EVERYTHING was a rarity for much of comicking history; it's not easy to learn like six different arts at once! Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise!

I finally got into Good Omens last month, watched both seasons, read the book and found out about Sandman.

I don't think I have ever, EVER fallen in love with a character as quickly as I fell in love with Morpheus.

I absolutely loved the show and almost every one of the characters.
